The Red Blazer Girls
by Michael D. Bell
These girls from St. Veronica's Catholic School stumble across a secret passageway that takes them on a quest to find something very special. Over twenty years ago right in New York City, was something hidden. This book was cool because there are three girls that find something special by solving clues, math puzzles. I enjoyed read this book because I think is was interesting for me. I finished this book, and I want to go to the second book by this author. I liked the girls because they the are smart and cool.

The Compound
by S.A. Bodeen
Eli is a typical boy, except for the one simple fact that he lives, more or less, trapped in an underground compound. Eli and his family have been in the compound for six years; for the most part he's okay with it until Eli realizes that his dad is keeping secrets from his family that could possibly kill them all. When it becomes apparent to Eli that what rests behind the Yellow Door is the last hope, he has to save them—all of them. How can Eli open the compound door when his father is the only one who knows the code and is a crazed control freak trying to doom them all? If this book taught me anything, your enemies may save you, and never give up hope—ever. This book was one of the best I've read in a while. I could feel like I was there in the compound listening to Eli's father yell and his mother cry, his little sister talk in a funny accent, and see his adopted sister dance. The author did an amazing job in showing the way Eli felt with every word. The ending was amazing, maybe the best part. The chapters are a little long, but each one pulls you further and further in, until you look at the clock and you've been reading for hours. I would definitely read another one of her books, but it would be hard to top this one.

Go Ask Alice
by Anonymous
Go Ask Alice, is a very outstanding book; plus, the book keeps you on the edge of your seat. I do recommend this to all students because if you are not yet mature, this will teach you to grow up a lot. It's about a girl named Alice, and she kind of gets caught up in the wrong crowd. She's introduced to drugs and she tries to stop, but at the sight of the drugs she wants some. This book is to teach readers about how to have self-control, and if you witness something going on wrong dont get caught up with it. Alice herself says, "Once you start drugs, you can never go back."

Outsiders.jpg

The Outsiders
by S.E. Hinton
The protagonists of this novel are the “Greasers”, because they are determined to prove they are just as good as anyone. They are challenged because the cops always think they are up to no good, even when they just walk down the street. The antagonists, the “Socs”, pick on and beat up the “Greasers” for fun. This all takes place in a small town on the west side. They don't exactly call themselves a “gang”, mostly a group, or family. This book was really enjoyable, because it was just a bunch of kids in the wrong place at the wrong time. They way things are settled is that they have a huge fight at the lot. If S.E. Hinton's books are all like this or kind of like it, I will for sure read more of them. The fight got me intense, I was so eager to find out what was going to happen.

The Lightening Thief
by Rick Riordan
In this book there is the main character, Percy. He is outgoing, strong, and a smart half-blood. He is half god and half human. Percy was strong when he didn't back down from the quest. In the quest, Percy had to get the master bolt from the underworld, and if he doesn't, there will be a World War III.I think Percy is smart throughout the book, but he could have made some better decisions. When Percy is most outgoing is when he goes and challenges the god Aries. I think the book is for someone who likes action books or mysterious books.

The Battle of the Labyrinth
by Rick Riordan
The story starts in the summer when Percy gets out of his mom's car to go to a school interview. Percy is the kind of guy who you could trust on the battlefield or off of it. He tells you the truth when you are asking for the truth. He will have to face many things, but one of the many things is evil titan lord Kronse, who has been in the story before. Most of the story, the setting has been in theLabyrinth. The theme of the story is to be prepared for the unexpected, because behind every closed door there is an unexpected surprise yet to come. The novel has an unexpected surprise behind every door, a twist that you would never guess, oh, and let's not forget the many new characters that join in the story. I'd have to say that I give this book five stars and two thumbs up.

I Heart You, You Haunt Me
By Lisa Schroeder
I Heart You, You Haunt Me is by far the BEST BOOK I've EVER read. It is a really short book for all those people that don't like to read. The novel is written in verse. Girls will fall in love with this book. You wont want to stop reading. I liked it because it is very realistic, and also because it feels like it can happen to you or to anyone. The book is about a girl and a boy who have been dating for a long time and have fallen deeply in love with each other. They plan to spend the rest of their lives together. Except something terrible happens to Jackson and he leaves her. And when he comes back to her, but not the same way as he left.
